National Night Out

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and to provide an opportunity to promote and celebrate police-community partnerships in crime prevention efforts.

Get the word out – Join your neighbors and “give crime and drugs a going away party”!

From 5 to 9 p.m., residents in neighborhoods throughout Hopkins and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors. Many neighborhoods throughout Hopkins will be hosting a variety of special events such as block parties, cookouts, ice cream socials, potlucks and games.

Kick-Off Party

No time to organize and no party happening on your block? No worries! Attend the National Night Out Kick-Off Celebration at Central Park, 101 16th Avenue S, at 5 p.m. with the Hopkins Police, Fire and Public Works departments, and a special kick-off message from City of Hopkins Mayor Patrick Hanlon and Police Chief Brent Johnson. Plus free food, giveaways and lots of family fun!
