Beginning in January 2023, the Depot Coffee House will be reducing hours for the winter season. The Coffee House will be open on Saturday and Sundays only. Coffee operations will resume normal hours on May 1st.
The Depot’s primary mission is to provide a chemical free environment for students and youth in the Hopkins community. The facility will be open Thursday and Friday nights to serve its mission.
The Depot Coffee House is open to the public and offers the best unique and lovely espresso drinks and freshly brewed coffee roasted locally in Northeast Minneapolis. The coffee is both organic and Fair Trade—principles important to the Depot as a socially and environmentally responsible business.
The Depot is a renovated train depot in Hopkins, Minnesota that now serves as a coffee house, youth community project and trailhead for area bike trails. It was planned and opened by area students and their allies in 1998 to create a chemically-free environment for teens.
The Depot also serves as an important asset to the community by providing students all over the West Metro an opportunity to create their own place to learn, relax, and have fun while directing both a coffee shop and an entertainment venue.
