Some Hopkins Ice Rinks to Open This WeekendHopkins Public Works staff have been hard at work over the last couple weeks creating ice at Hopkins' outdoor ice rinks. Ice rinks and warming houses are scheduled to open at Central, Harley Hopkins, Interlachen and Valley parks on Saturday, January 13. Dow Towers Waiting List Application Period is January 29-31The Hopkins Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) will be accepting applications online for its One Bedroom Only Public Housing waiting list beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, January 29 ,2024, until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Applications must be submitted online between 8 a.m. on January 29, 2024, and 4 p.m. on January 31, 2024. Applications will not be available in the HRA office or by phone, and fax requests will not be accepted. To qualify, annual gross household income cannot exceed $66,300 for a one-person household, $75,750 for a two-person household. Find more information.

Save the Date: Kids' Fest is February 4Everyone’s family favorite winter event, Kids’ Fest, returns Sunday, February 4, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Minnetonka Community. Hosted by Hopkins-Minnetonka Recreation Services, this free event features a variety of fun winter activities, including dog sled and horse-drawn trolley rides, ice sculptures, face painting, crafts and more.
