Spring Senior Programs at the Activity Center Begin March 4

Adults over 55 – Find your place to belong, connect and find enjoyment in senior adult recreational programs at the Hopkins Activity Center. Spring senior programs are now open for registration:

  • Are you creative? Try crochet and knitting club, Creative Chaos crafting group, or primitive wool rug hooking.
  • Are you social? Welcome spring at a luau luncheon, enjoy a slice of pie on “Pi” day March 14, or take an outdoor stroll with the walking club.
  • Are you curious? Naturalist speaker Stan Tekiela returns for a presentation on Wildflowers, increase your knowledge at a lunch and learn event, learn more about your electronic devices at Tech Topic sessions, or take a day trip excursioin.
  • Are you active? Fitness classes include those for strengthening, relaxing, or dancing for fun, open pickleball from beginner to experienced levels, or be introduced to the benefits of using Nordic walking poles. 

Visit the Activity Center webpage and click on the “Raspberry Button” to browse programs and choose from an array of activities to suit your interests. 


Get the Wiggles Out at Turf Tots Starting March 4

Bring your children (ages 1 to 5) to the Hopkins Pavilion for Turf Tots, a drop-in program open March 4 through May 4. Kids can run and play with provided equipment including sport balls, crawl tunnels, bounce houses, climbing walls and more. Adults are required to stay on the field and supervise. Turf Tots is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is $5/session, per child. Learn more about Turf Tots on the Pavilion website.


Summer Recreation Registration Begins March 5

Summer recreation program registration begins on Tuesday, March 5, for general recreation, Thursday, March 7, for senior programs and Tuesday, March 19, for ice skating. Visit minnetonkamn.gov/register to browse program options and choose from an array of activities including summer camps, swimming lessons, skating lessons, fitness classes, arts and crafts, athletic leagues and senior programs. 


Election Day is March 5

The Presidential Nomination Primary is coming up on Tuesday, March 5. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. City Hall will also be open extended hours for absentee voting on Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Monday, March 4, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit mnvotes.org to find your polling place or view your sample ballot.
