City Surveys

The City of Hopkins periodically conducts a Quality of Life Survey. The community survey is used as a tool to measure resident opinion on the quality of City services and to receive input on relevant issues. The results of the survey also help the City determine future courses of action.

The statistically valid survey consists of telephone interviews of 400 randomly selected Hopkins residents.

2013 City Survey

Some highlights of the 2013 survey include:

  • 85% rate the performance of City staff as excellent or good
  • 86% approve of the job the Mayor and City Council are doing
  • 86% think things in Hopkins are generally headed in the right direction
  • 97% of the respondents consider the quality of life in Hopkins as excellent or good
