Utility Rates & Billing

January 2026 Mailing Error

Important Note for Property Owners: A duplicate copy of the January utility bill was mailed out in error. Utility customers can disregard the second bill.

Quarterly Billing

During 2026, the City will transition to quarterly utility bills.  The last monthly bill will be sent out the week of January 1.  Utility customers will receive their first quarterly bill in April for services rendered in January, February and March.

The January 1 utility bill will be due on January 20.

There is a 3-calendar day grace period before a 10% penalty on the current  water, sewer, refuse and storm sewer charges will be applied to the account.

Credit Card Fees

In 2026 the City will begin charging customers up to 3.15% for credit card fees. The planned implementation date for utility bills is being delayed until February 1st.

To avoid the fee: customers can enroll in ACH automatic payments from a checking or savings account or pay by cash or check.

How to Read Your Utility Bill

*The due date is not a postmark date. Payments must be received on or before the 20th of the month. (However, payments received within three calendar days of the due date will not receive a penalty.)
